In the past, when I heard the term Birth Trauma, I never really understood what it meant but I figured it had to be bad. Something bad or really invasive went on during childbirth that would be a lot for someone to take in.
But now, after learning more over the years and talking to people like our guest, it's actually not so much what has happened, but more about how it may have affected someone.
So today, I chat with Abigail Barth, owner of Two Birds Counselling to talk about what Birth Trauma really is, how expectant parents can help set themselves up for a positive birth experience as much as possible, and ways they might be able to unpack how it made them feel.
